Boyd’s Key West Campground – Key West, Florida

John Archambault writes: Convenience to downtown is the only thing this campground offers.

I made reservations 11 months in advance and reserved 3 pull thru sites, as we were all pulling enclosed trailers. Upon calling to pay for entire stay 3 months from arrival, I was told the campground does not offer pull thru sites. We were additionally told that since our trailers were enclosed as opposed to a flatbed, we would be charged an additional fee per day to store them. When questioned about the lack of information upon initial call, all I was told was that they have many people answering the phone! Since we were committed to the dates we stayed there anyway.

They stored our trailers and told us they would leave them in an area where we could get easy access to them for our motorcycles. On the 2nd day we decided to take a ride. The trailers were buried and not accessible as well as it also seemed a favorite place for the lazy pet owners to walk their pets and not pick up after them.

The sites themselves were very tight, but that is understandable due to the campgrounds location. Wi-Fi was sub-standard and of no use. Although the woman at the office was very concerned, no resolution was offered.

The camping area was clean and tidy as was the pool area. There was a sunset cruise offered at a very reasonable price and it was campground people only and was well worth it.
