Developers announced plans for a $309 million Extreme Sports resort near Kissimmee, Florida that would include 14-story ski and snowboard mountain, an indoor/outdoor skateboard park and a snowball fight arena.
Xero Gravity Action Sports said it plans to build the Action Sports & Entertainment Resort near the intersection of U.S. Highway 192 and State Road 535 in Osceola County, about 4 miles east of Interstate 4, exit 65.
According to the company website, Xero Gravity Action Sports & Entertainment Complex is an action sports and entertainment complex giving individuals hands-on experiences while hosting year round pro and amateur competitions housed in a theme park setting.
Xero Gravity will assimilate four of the fastest growing and most popular action sports venues in the world: Surfing, Skateboarding, Snowboarding/Skiing, and BMX, along with other sports action venues such as; indoor sky diving, rock climbing, zip lines, a 4 story climbing/zipline/ropes challenge complex, interactive/competitive waterslides, jump zone free falling, snow tubing, trampoline/dodge ball/basketball, human pendulum flying, and much more.
In addition to the many action sports venues, Xero Gravity will have entertainment and hospitality components including, but not limited to, a 250-room Hyatt branded hotel with a rooftop pool and bar, a 2,000 seat amphitheater, swimming pools, a world class spa, hands on sports training facility, retail shops, restaurants and sports bars, sports theater, and the International Action Sports Hall of Fame.
Other activities include a lazy river, best–in-class gym, cabanas, music/concert activities, competitions, sports training services, child-care with unique snow play area, special T. V. events by Red Bull, Monster, and Dew Tour, and much, much more.
The Xero Gravity Action Sports & Entertainment Complex will be an “Event Driven” complex showcasing amateur and pro competitions in snowboarding, skiing, surfing, skateboarding, BMX, and our other popular action sports activities.
The Xero Gravity Actions Sports & Entertainment Resort is expected to open in early 2018.
