Casino and Resort Proposed Near I-90 in New York’s Finger Lakes Region
The Wilmorite corporation has recently unveiled it’s $350-million proposal to build a casino and resort in the Finger Lakes Region of New York. The proposed site is 94-acres of land off off of I-90, exit 41 in the town of Tyre, New York.
The Wilmot Casino and Resort would cost $350 million and would feature a casino, hotel, spa, dining and entertainment areas. The facility is expected to accommodate more than 9,000 daily visitors, or more than 3.3 million annually.
The casino would have about 2,000 slot machines, and at least 100 gambling tables. A 200-room hotel and spa, with a fitness center, convention and meeting space would also be a part of the development, making it a regional gambling mecca comparable to Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. The project also would include several restaurants, an entertainment facility and a tavern lounge featuring local entertainment, wine and craft brews.
