OBX Campgrounds – Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina

I highly recommend OBX Campgrounds on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. It is a new campground in 1012.

They have 48 sites, only for RVs, no tents. Each site has a full hookup including cable, electric, water and sewer. Each site is level and has a gravel base. Being new, the bath houses are very nice, clean, with lots of room in them. Only a few sites have trees, the rest are open, but there is plenty of room between each site. We stayed five days in December 2013. A transportation vehicle is needed to go the the beach and see the sights in the area. This campgrounds is away from the main road and is a little less expensive than the others.

Before finding this campground we stayed one night at Kitty Hawk RV Park, which I would not recommend, it was not much more than a sand parking lot.
