New Fun Debuting At Dorney Park as it Opens For Its 134th Season
Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom, the center of summer fun and family entertainment in the Lehigh Valley, will officially open the gates for the 2017 season on Saturday, April 29th at 10:00 AM. Season Passholders will have the exclusive opportunity to participate in a Special Preview on Friday, April 28th from 5:00 – 9:00 PM. New rides, new shows and new fun will debut this season, including two new family rides, new live entertainment, a new catering pavilion, new food & beverage offerings and enhancements to Wildwater Kingdom.
Back by the popular demand of Dorney Park guests….bumper cars! Get behind the wheel of this midway classic and take a crash course in family fun. Dodgem is located next to Talon and will be ready for riders Opening Weekend!
Guests can also test their thrill level with a spin on the all new Kaleidoscope, a circular ride sending guests on a counter-clockwise trip of weightlessness and acceleration. Riders will experience weightlessness, strong accelerations, and side-to-side movement. This new ride is located on the main midway next to Coasters.

Guests will be mesmerized as they witness the breathtaking stunts and aerial performances of Cirque Imagine! This thrilling 30-minute live show, perfect for families and guests of all ages, features acts including Trampolines, Cyr wheel, Aerialists, Hand Balancing and Bikes. Performances will begin June 17th in the Good Time Theatre and will run multiple shows per day Thursdays through Tuesdays.
Dorney Park continues to enhance the guest experience by expanding the dining services offered within the park, after all a day at the park can work up quite an appetite! New for 2017, guests can enjoy the Perfect Pretzel every time at Auntie Anne’s, Wildwater Kingdom guests can enjoy fresh-dough pizza made with fresh toppings and Philly Cheesesteaks at Papa Luigi’s, and can quench their thirst at the parks additional Coca-Cola® Refresh Station.
As part of its opening weekend, Dorney Park will open its doors on Friday, April 28th for a special Season Passholders Preview Night, an exclusive benefit to passholders. Our most loyal fans will be able to enjoy their favorite rides and experiences before the park opens to the public. Passholders can also join us for a Preview Night Tailgate, with Season Pass processing to begin at 3:00 PM and plenty of excitement led by the Park Ambassador Team, as well as appearances by the PEANUTS Gang.
Throughout the 2017 season, guests can enjoy an array of special events in addition to all the thrills and spills of the park. Visit Fridays in May (May 5th, 12th and 19th) for a brand new event – Food Truck Fridays, giving guests the opportunity to try unique food offerings from local food truck vendors. Join us May 13th – 14th for Mother’s Day Brunch and celebrate Mom at Dorney Park by treating her to a delicious brunch, and the opportunity to make memories as a family and enjoy world-class thrills all in one place! Dorney Park will offer several special promotions over Memorial Day Weekend to celebrate the official start of summer! From May 27th – 29th, guests can chow down at the Memorial Day Cookout, take advantage of special ticket offers such as Season Pass Bring-A-Friend and Military Appreciation Days, and enjoy a spectacular fireworks display!
