The Massachusetts Office of Travel & Tourism (MOTT) has accumulated over 600 totally free events and activities for all to enjoy now through Labor Day weekend 2017. With offerings ranging from concerts to culinary tastings, visitors and residents have ample opportunities to enjoy gratis entertainment all summer long. Wicked Free Summer Fun includes 85 museums and cultural events from the Highland Street Foundation’s Free Fun Fridays program. Participating venues touch all corners of the state, such as: Jacob’s Pillow Dance (Becket), Emily Dickinson Museum (Amherst), Museum of Russian Icons (Clinton), Maritime Gloucester (Gloucester), Franklin Park Zoo (Boston), New Bedford Whaling Museum (New Bedford), and Edward Gorey House (Yarmouth Port).
Additional highlights with all-ages appeal: Friday Night Movies on Children’s Beach (Nantucket), Yoga on the Terrace at the Clark (Yoga on the Terrace at the Clark (Williamstown), DCR Family Fishing Clinics (various locations), live music and classic car shows (Lowell), festivals in the historic North End (Boston), and much more.
